Takeover vote postponed
Fri Jan 25, 2019 19:51

The Legacy Members meeting on 28th January will now NOT involve the American bidders due to Trust Board coming to terms with the Andy Harman proposal.

Letter sent to Legacy Members this evening.

As you are aware it was planned to present the investment proposal from Bill Luby & Jim Collis and commence the voting procedure seeking your approval.

Following the announcement of the meeting we were approached by an ex-player with an outline proposal of an alternative option. Throughout this process we have tried to be fair and find the best route forward for our Football Club.

The Trust Board, in conjunction with Bill & Jim, have therefore decided to postpone the voting process to allow time for Mr Harman to present a formal proposal to the Trust Board, allowing them to consider both proposals and then make a recommendation to members of the preferred option.

The Legacy Meeting will still take place on Monday 28th January, starting at 7.30 pm at the Hub in Easton Street, High Wycombe, but will not involve Jim or Bill, or any presentation about their proposal.

This meeting will give me the opportunity to present the current position, how we have reached where we are, and an outline of the way forward. You will also be able to ask me and the Trust Board any questions you may have.

I am sure there will be a level of frustration, about this delay, but your Trust Board are totally agreed that the process should be as transparent as possible to ensure we deliver the best proposal for the Football Club.

It is planned to live stream the meeting, via a private Facebook group, to all Trust Members.

Just follow the link and apply to join the group. If you are a paid-up member of the Trust you will be admitted to the group.
