Wycombe v Bolton given go ahead
Mon Jul 29, 2019 23:07

Wanderers' opening home game of the season against Bolton Wanderers was given the go-head following a statement by the EFL issued at around 9pm on the evening of Monday 29th July 2019. Earlier the same day, the Club had finally released ticket sales for the game, only for sales to be suspended when the EFL issued a statement announcing a deadline for both Bolton and Bury to guarantee certain financial conditions before 5pm (29th July).

Regarding the situation at Bolton the statement read: "At its meeting today, the EFL Board was appraised of the position in regard to the outstanding information requested in respect of ongoing matters at Bolton Wanderers. The Board has fully considered the Club’s further submissions and is satisfied that they are sufficient to meet the requirements of the League subject to the completion of formal documentation. As a result the EFL Board has opted not to suspend their opening day fixture with Wycombe Wanderers and it will remain as originally scheduled on Saturday 3 August 2019 at 3pm."

Bury's game at home to MK Dons was suspended under the provision of EFL Regulation 28.2.
