Trust contact Legacy Members as vote set for October
Tue Sep 17, 2019 12:49

Wycombe Wanderers Trust Legacy Members received confirmation of their status via email on Tuesday 17 September 2019. At the time of the email the Trust had records of 780 Legacy Members (a current Wycombe Wanderers Season Ticket holder in their 4th or more consecutive season). The Trust are also actively encouraging qualifying Season Ticket holders to consider taking up the opportunity to become a Legacy Member and therefore qualify to take part in the vote regarding on-going investment proposals.

Communication from the Trust has also confirmed that plans are currently being made to hold the vote during October 2019 rather than the original suggestion of ‘Spring 2020’ announced at the Trust meeting on 11 July 2019.

According to the email communication from the Trust, more details of the voting arrangements are expected to be announced ‘in the next week or so’.

This update follows a news item on the official website where Manager Gareth Ainsworth has backed plans for moving from Trust ownership to outside investment. He said: “After completing the five-year plan in the summer, which was achieved thanks to a brilliant team effort from everyone on and off the pitch under Trust ownership, I believe we have an opportunity to keep developing by welcoming Rob Couhig into the club and seeing where his investment and expertise can take us. That is a journey I’m excited to be a part of, and I hope the supporters – particularly those eligible to vote when the time comes – recognise the importance of the opportunity that’s in front of us to bring Rob into the club and start this new chapter together.”

A Fans Forum open to all also takes place on Thursday 19th September 2019 at Adams Park – doors 6pm and starting at 7.30pm. Gareth Ainsworth, Rob Couhig and Trevor Stroud will be on the panel to take questions.
