Mr Barone; It is just amazing. that you are the first person to ask that question. I and my combat crew left the 18th squadron 19thBG to follow our Pilot to the 43BG for his reasons. I enlisted in the Army Air Corp at the end of 1939 and went to Panama where I met My Pilot CAPT Jay Rousek. I flew with him from 1941 until 1943 when he sent me back to the states where I joined the 93rd squadron of the 19th BG and when the 19th was selected to learn all about the B-29 I was made a Inspector in the 2 Air Force that allowed me to get flyng pay for the rest of my time in serves.
