Jeff,

I had no idea that the music had a connection to THE LONE RANGER film. I learned something else today!

When the show started being rebroadcast on the Encore Western Channel a few years ago, I saw every program(many of them 5 or 6 times). At that time I realized that the theme song didn't have lyrics at the beginning("Who is that tall dark stranger..."), that came later.

Every time I watch an episode, or hear the theme, all my troubles melt away. It is suddenly 1957 and I'm 10 years old in front of the television set on a Sunday evening. I love the show and will be buying the DVD set.

BTW, I absolutely hated the later movie with Mel Gibson. Depised it, actually.
