could be?

That could be, but the Earp's had other contacts and fish on the line, do they go to someone that could potentially cause them all sorts of headaches (which he did) or did they just look at Ike as a tool to get to the others for Wyatt to make the arrests to garner support for the sheriff's office.

It seems strange to me that when this deal fell apart, Doc was sent for, and I am not swallowing the reason, that he was to comfort Ike over the secret. The Earp's had some reason to fear Ike was going to spoil whatever they had going, and brought Doc in as muscle to intimidate Ike.

The Earps were money men and I'm sure they will dealing with the cowboys on some level involving monetary issues? I guess we can't prove that and Ike made a mess of it, trying to explain it on the stand, he knew enough just to get it all wrong and make it out to be unlikely. Ike was a threat to the Earp's and some deal fell quickly apart. Now if we all knew what! LOL. Hope your doing well Tom!

  • bfrey they just thought Ike was just low enough to sell out his friends and acquaintances whereas few others were as sleazy as they figured Ike to be? Keep Laughing tom

I think Bruce was referring to Allie Earp, Virgil's wife. However, it is not at all reasonable to think that Behan beat Kate to get information. Nothing in his whole history suggests he would be... more

Hi Bruce, Well, its certain Behan didn't beat her for a confession! If he had gone to that extreme he certainly wouldn't have let the whole thing go so easy. I doubt if Behan had anything to do with... more
