Jim, It is a real shame that we don't see each other more often, given the fact that we live in the same state. The biggest barrier, I guess, is Atlanta traffic!

Actually, though, Paul Cool and I talked about this sort of gathering for a long time now, given the number of folks in the Southeast who are interested in Old West topics. And we always talked about the Booth as the perfect venue. We talked about The Georgia contingency that included Victoria, Mark Warren, me, and some others as well. We know of other members of WWHA in the Southeast from the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and more, as well as a number of people who may not be members but who enjoy the subject of Old West outlaws and lawmen.

So I'm delighted by the prospect of a winter session at the Booth. Paul will doubtlessly be there with us in spirit. So let's pursue this. Considering other Western characters who hailed from the Southeast, this could be a very enlightening opportunity for annual affairs for years.

Thanks, Peter, for your comment, and Kenny, you've added another character to keep my eyes open for. Thanks for the tip. Best! Gary

I've tried 285 West, but if I can hit Atlanta at the right time, I usually go straight up 75. If you've got a better way, I'd love to hear about it. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well. Best! Gary

Gary, Great! Mark Warren is also a good choice. I just finished his new book "Adobe Moon" and I'll bet he would enjoy being on the program. I will call on the phone and we can talk about this. Look... more
