Hearst had no viable connection with L.A. and absolutely with Wyatt in L.A.
And when Hearst was in Tombstone Wyatt was too busy as DUSM to be anybody's bodyguard. It was Wyatt who needed bodyguards. Hearst was using DUSM John H. Jackson to guide him around the area, Sonora and New Mexico included. That lasted until April 1882.
