After reading your post and doing a little research of my own, you have convinced me that the Walter Scott arrested with Wyatt on the bunco charge is not Death Valley Scotty. The fact that Scotty was getting sensationalist front page coverage from newspapers as early as 1908 or before does convince me that he could not have been arrested in 1911 with another frontier celebrity without being identied, Good work Kenny and Casey.
