For decades before getting into the Old West field I had become a walking encyclopedia on pro boxing. My indoctrination began as a boy (with my father) in 1954. By 1973 I was a very decent fight analyst. When I began researching I covered only the gloved era, by started in 1888 up through 1990, 100 years of it. In 1990 I divorced myself from it best I could. I mention all this to let you know, that there are very many ways in which to fix a boxing match. and I learned about many. Unequivocally, Bob Fitzsimmons did not have to be in on the fix, even though he admitted that he and Julian knew the ref was crooked going in. I am here to tell that a fight can be fixed when NEITHER FIGHTER knows about it. I've seen it. My boxing research was too deep for you to comprehend. From 1954n to 1990 I watched not hundreds of matches, but thousands of match. THOUSANDS. (Now I have seen approximately 1,000 MMA matches since the late 1990s.)
Proper evaluation of evidence just in the San Francisco papers alone is precisely what has been done. You have no business presenting this empty-minded post, without doing a stich of research.
For anyone to dismiss a double confession borders on insanity.

    1) The Fitz-Sharkey bout was not legally sanctioned. 2) It is not possible for the fight to have been "fixed" unless Fitz was also involved in the misconduct. 3) If Wyatt was actually being paid to... more
