Regarding Steve Calvert: I doubt there's any paper on him, but Paul Parla has a boatload of stills Steve signed of him in gorilla costume. He charges some extraordinary about, like $40, which is outrageous IMO. And I have real problems with the whole affair, cozying up to an old guy and having him sign 100 or 200 photos, then pedaling them as an annuity. Steve's certainly not the only one they hit up, but he was my good friend, and I consider it crass.

BTW-- it is NOT Steve as crook No. 2 in the other episode of TAOS which has his name in the credits. I think offhand it's The Seven Souvenirs. There's a secondary NYC-type thug who's got a couple lines in the end ("Leave us leave," or something)-- it sure ain;t Steve. And he's neither of the two silent-bit thugs captured in the opening scene either.
I wonder what hat they pulled his name out of?

Mike, Thanks for replying. I am really only looking for the autographs on paper, and not on photos. It makes it easier (and cheaper) to look for obsure people, and alot of them used to sign autograph ... more

Yes, those "cut" signatures have been the way to build an exhibit for me. I don't have a signed photo of George Reeves, but a page from an autograph book. I got it on the low side as there's a... more
