could be more potential revenue from ads - thought I guess it depends on the forum and who visits it. If the user's aren't the type to click ads, and the ads are pay-per-click, then it might not be worth.

There's probably a sweet spot in terms of threads/page where you maximize ad revenue. It's probably not the best user experience though. It would put users at very edge of a tolerable experience.

    10 stupid thread titles, so you're constantly clicking the "next page" button and paying for a page load. On a good day some forums have 20-30 active threads, it's stupid.

          make some sort of Chrome/Firefox extension to change how the site works when the extension is loaded, but that's kind of a hacky and painful to write. Or you could message the mods and complain.... more

      If it's a forum I visit often, I will check to see if there's an option to raise the number of replies or threads per page to at least 50. I'm guessing the low number is in case you have banner ads... more
