Why Windows 10?

10 is the latest Windows version.
8.x was the last.
7 before that.

WHY? Sure, we have 8 major consumer versions and some 90s NT versions, but only 10 was selected as the latest version. Why not 9? Why not something more useful like 2015 or July 29, 2015? I usually have to upgrade past my current version ANYWAY, so all you're doing is costing me time.

Sure wish Bill Gates would have addressed this--or maybe he did? I know "Non-chronological versioning must die" was never one of his articles.

      Clearly Microsoft has invented the technology necessary to splice parallel dimensions. Time travel isn't possibly. You can't change the past, but you can out the parts you don't like and splice them... more
    • {} represents subscripts. Microsoft forgot there's no 8 in base-8. It was going to go 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 10 but they screwed up.
