I would have thought they would have picked a higher number than 299k to be the max if they were going that route. I feel like it's not unheard of for Toyota's to go over 300k. Although, I guess maybe if it was the really early ones they were unsure about how the whole hybrid drive and battery would last over so many miles/years?

Only other thing I could possibly think of is size to store the number? 299,999 is 19 bits where 999,999 is 20 bits. Who knows though because 300k is also 19 bits as is 400k so the number could just be arbitrary.

    It's like they didn't expect their drivers to go past 300,000 mi in their car! I had some issues with the display that showed this info in mine and came across this little nugget. At least mine won't ... more
