I didn't get any canning done this year. Tore the meniscus on my left knee twice. Had second surgery last January and was off work for 5 weeks. So it was March before I really was allowed to do things. Heavy lifting was out. Sooo, I had hoped to do canning in the fall but that didn't happen either. We bought a new gas stove/oven a few weeks ago. More burner space. Even has a griddle burner that I think will be fabulous for my long water bath scanner. Maybe winter Canning???? I buy produce in bulk at the fruit/veggie market so I always get a price break!
