This is a very common problem with the EFI wiring harness on the early FJ80s. I'm not sure if Toyota ever recalled it, but they should have. Take it to a dealer that has been around a while and they will know exactly what to do. You might be able to get the new harness from them for free; many have. If not, it should be available somewhere by now.
