If your dal is a stone former (not all of them can have your vet test her urine for ph and sediment) you need to steer clear of purines, which are found in beef and organ meats, among other things. Your vet should be able to get you information on this. Since she came from a pet store, it is pretty much guaranteed she was born in a puppy mill, so keep a close eye on her for other issues (hip displasia, deafness, etc.) Dals are wonderful affectionate dogs...congratulations on owning one!
