Hi Lynn. I've been watching unsung on tv one and when I say I get so full watching the biographies of the great men and women who have gone unsung it brings tears to my eyes. Wednesday past I watched Otis Redding. That man was truly a genius. He left so much great music, dying in Dec. 1967 at the tender age of 26. I grew up listening to, These Arms of Mine and Pain in my heart. I didn't realize there was so mch footage on Otis Redding.
I've also been watching recorded episodes of unsung of Eddie Kendrick and David Ruffin. I didn't realize Eddie had a memorial park in Birmingham, AL. I loved the Unsung episode of him. Like his daughter, Aika said at end of the episode concerning her father: He did good. He did real good.(a Black man in the south with his own park.) Otis also shared a touching point when speaking with Eddie before Eddie passed. He told Eddie he loved him and that they had done something great together which would outlast them all. And they did. But does anyone know why Paul and Melvin aren't Unsung? Where is everyone come on guys. Melvin's been gone twenty years. Let's lift him up. He was always my favorite.
