Hi Sue, I'm Honey's owner - Doogie's sister! We met when we picked up our gorgeous puppies in 2001. We also have Ginger who is 3 years younger than Honey (and Doogie). I was quite apprehensive about how Honey would react to another dog in the family sharing our attention etc. The first few days were tricky, Honey was a bit put out by Ginger and her constant energy, she snapped a few times at her but I assume only to assert herself as the alpha dog. It didn't take long however for them to get along, we haven't had any issues whatsoever with the two of them and within a few months they were kissing - they continue to do so all the time! they are the best of mates and its lovely to see that while they are the same breed (they have the same father) they have very different personalities. We don't know how we lived without either of them and I certainly don't regret adding Ginger to our obsession of labradoodles! I think Doogie will get along fine with a new puppy and he's even friendlier than Honey (who thinks shes a human and doesn't like to socialise too much with other dogs).
