Dear Sir/Madam,

A long time friend and local community member of Latrobe Tasmania has a daughter, Amadee McCullagh who is 5 years old. Precious Amadee has been diagnosed with Epilepsy and is currently traveling to Melbourne and back for specialised treatment. Not only is she facing the battle of having Epilepsy but her body is not coping with the large amounts of medication required to keep the seizures under control.

An Epilepsy Purple Awareness Fun Day has been organised by members of the community and family friends for March 25th from 11 am to 4 pm at Perkins Park Latrobe.

Funds raised from that event will go towards Epilepsy Tasmania and towards a fund for Amadee to assist her parents in getting her to and from Melbourne for specialist treatment, purchasing a seizure mat and we would love to raise enough funds to purchase a Tasmanian Labradoodle for her.

It is known through research that the dogs are an amazing tool in assisting epileptics and there are various perspectives on why including Labradoodles can give warning that you need to get somewhere safe ahead of a seizure. A dog provides unconditional love to its owner and doesn't like to see one suffer, when one is about to have a seizure, the dog can sense changes in the body and will respond to an incident. The cost associated with purchasing a Labradoodle for Amadee is around $1,500.00.

I hope you believe in the concept as much as we do and can help support us whilst we raise awareness for Epilepsy.

Any donation is appreciated or a reduced fee in enabling us to purchase a minature labradoodle for Amadee would be so much appreciated. If someone is giving a puppy away, we guaratee that he/she will go to a good home.

Would love to hear from someone
