Only rumours have place about this subject. One half of researchers says "Yes, it was"; other half says "No, it was never".
Any photos of early North Korean aviation is RAREST things, because at that time Koreans had not photocameras almost (their country was very poor country and ex-Japanese colony then). Besides, at those years there was used the mode of the maximum secrecy, and photographing of military planes was strictly forbidden.
That is why we can see on Korean, Chinese and Soviet photos from Korean War the separate pilots or group of pilots only, but almost never - fighting aircrafts (unlike the American photos).
