Day Practice Plan – All Sports and Marching Band Sports W/Helmet/Pads 1 One Practice per day (3 hours total); 1 hr. walkthrough after 3 hours rest Helmet Only 2 One Practice per day (3 hours total); 1 hr. walkthrough after 3 hours rest Helmet Only 3 One Practice per day (3 hours total); 1 hr. walkthrough after 3 hours rest Helmet/Shoulder Pads/ Blocking Sled/Tackling Dummies 4 One Practice per day (3 hours total); 1 hr. walkthrough after 3 hours rest Helmet/Shoulder Pads/ Blocking Sled/Tackling Dummies 5 One Practice per day (3 hours total); 1 hr. walkthrough after 3 hours rest Helmet/Shoulder Pads/ Blocking Sled/Tackling Dummies 6 to 14 Alternate double practice days w/ a single practice day or a rest day Double Day Guidelines – 3 hr. During the preseason heat acclimatization period, if practice occurs on six consecutive days, participants should have one day of complete rest (no conditioning, walk-throughs, practices, etc.) Therefore, 16 dates are needed to complete the 14 practice process.
On-Site Athletic Trainer is recommended for the head acclimatization period (Day 1-14) if possible.

My AD didn't think it applied to bands. It says sports teams and spirit groups. He doesn't count us as a spirit group.
