It was a great night! I love the friendly rivalry that our three bands have, and the greatest thing is seeing the CHILDREN support each other. Seeing our students, together, enjoying the arts and learning to appreciate the activity was a joy! The constructive critisicm the Pride Band recieved was so helpful into preparing for our game next Friday and our upcoming shows.

The amount of class shown from the Northwest and Hillsboro parents towards myself and the De Soto band parents association was uplifting.

I can't wait to see the many great things this season from all of the bands, developing or established, and from the great directors who do all they can for the kids!

Agreed....It was a celebration of mediocrity. Lets lower the bar so we feel great about being below average.

I will have to say that I agree with Point #1. At one time, this was a true educational board where one could come and find useful information about upcoming events and even read some interesting... more

Sounds like you should be a school counselor and not a music educator. Our job is not to make children feel good. It is to teach them. Whatever the medium, marching, jazz, symphonic....the goal is to ... more

I didn't see Mr. Rapini or Mr. Blair saying anything about how great their bands were, only how educational the event was for their kids. That's what we are here for, is to educate our students. Why... more
