1st...stay off this board nothing good comes from posting on here. You just open the door and invite conflict.

2nd...Only praise when something is worthy of praise! ENCOURAGE ALWAYS, but ONLY PRAISE THE EXCEPTIONAL. Praising mediocrity discourages ones will to achieve greatness.

Perhaps you should spend time with the exceptional to learn the difference between praise & encouragement and, most importantly, when to use each. Incorrectly using praise just creates teens who are blissfully ignorant of what they are truly capable of becoming. Example..."200 smiling kids"... Is that you goal as a Music Educator?; to create happy little children.

If your goal was to create "smiling kids" you succeeded; congrats! continue patting yourselves on the back.

Rant over....but that just my opinion I could be wrong.
