Is Gnosticism equal to egotism?

That would depend on who is doing the judging. I would say no unless you think the same of Jesus. I like to think it is more like us stepping up to what Jesus described people. As the light of the world.

If allowing my light, or your own to shine is egotistical, then so be it.

Light should not be supressed.

If it is, then all live in a darker place.

" But if integrity is your highest virtue, then you can't be congregational"

Not if the congregation is Gnostic Christian as then the whole congregation is centered around seeking the highest virtue.

That may be why the Mystery schools flourished in the past as they were populated by perpetual seekers.
