Is there a way to 'opt out' of it? It is adding an incredible amount of clicking and hunting to the forum just to read a thread... our threads tend to get very long & bulky, so I SNIP them off with the 'make this a top level thread' tool to keep 'monsters' down to a minimum...
Personally, I hate the new change as we don't get that many that scroll off the edge... and it's so much MORE trouble this way than the other way...
Also, if we click on a post to read it, we can no longer see the WHOLE thread... Only one above and whatever is beneath a post...
Also, because of this, we cannot see, at a glance, that someone has responded to a thread... So, instead of scrolling through looking for any new posts, we have to open up EVERYTHING over and over and over again... Who's going to remember how many 'x more comments' belong to any given thread??? and that is going to TOTALLY skew the results of page views as a result...

Hi Sean, Our group has two DiscApps (241484 is the smaller one by far), and we sometimes use them for extremely large, sprawling threads. For a thread like this , this new feature would now require... more
It was multiple clicks for our forum and regular posters were avoiding even reading the most popular threads because there was so much effort required just to get to a new post that they just stopped ... more
I am seriously impressed that you made the change that quickly. That is excellent customer service - and I'm not just saying that because it was my suggestion ;). The new functionality appears to... more
Hi Sean, Is there any way to disable this feature? We find it does not work very well with our site, as it makes it difficult to tell when you have a reply to a thread. Thank you.
it is incredibly obnoxious on our forum... Sia☺giah,Sat Nov 9 16:01
