Thank you for the prompt response. Apparently the slow-loading has been going on for months, so it's definitely not the new server; our current thinking is that it's tied to the adverts.
To avoid filling up this thread, I tried to start a new one discussing our concerns with the adverts yesterday (I've had a lot of comments about it), but it hasn't shown up yet. If it's awaiting approval then I'll keep waiting of course, but if it just didn't go through, please let me know and I'll re-post it.

So far, I haven't been able to replicate any of the issues your visitor describes. It would be helpful to know what browser (type and version) and what OS this is happening in.
